Tomball ISD Administration Building

From Retired David Schuelke, Tomball ISD Assistant Superintendent for Ancillary Services.

“Sterling Structures was charged with capturing specified building materials to be used throughout the new building to preserve and illustrate the history of the facility. The materials used and the color scheme all came together to preserve the integrity and history of the building. As with all our projects with Sterling Structures, this project was completed on time, within budget and without any safety concern.”

“As always, we thank the entire team but especially Sterling Structures for their vision and commitment to quality throughout the project.”

Fort Bend ISD Progressive High School

From Jerry Bevel, cre8 Architects.

“We are impressed with Sterling’s workmanship, and the selection and performance of their subcontracting team.” “Sterling pays attention to small details that make a big impact.” “The owners of Sterling Structures were actively involved in the daily management of the project. They made regular site visits, attended all project meetings, and personally monitored the progress of the project to ensure adherence to the project phasing and schedule.”

Tomball ISD Ancillary Services Building

From Retired David Schuelke, Tomball ISD Assistant Superintendent for Ancillary Services.

“After living and working in the building for almost a year, we continue to be impressed by the quality of workmanship which is evidenced by the few warranty items that have surfaced. The quality was brought about due to the Sterling team’s attention to planning, details of the construction documents and timelines.” “Thank you and your team for helping Tomball Independent School District complete a very successful project.”

Friendswood Community Church

From Steven W. Shelby, Retired Director, Business & Support Ministries.

“Upon review of the current project Sterling Structures is handling for Friendswood Community Church, I want to compliment you and the entire team for your excellent housekeeping and safety record.

I know it sounds strange to mention “housekeeping” in the same context as safety, but we believe they are inseparable. At either the end or the beginning of every day since Sterling began the project, the site is neat and organized for the next day. Every day that I am on the premises, your employees are wearing the appropriate safety equipment. As an “employer” of Sterling Structures, these are important principles that we always consider in selecting a supplier. This being the second capital project we have done together speaks for itself.

Mike, thanks to you and Jay for your caring leadership and high values placed on your employee’s safety. I hope to see you soon.”

Shiner Independent School District

From Trey Lawrence, superintendent.

“Sterling Structures managed and completed a $7.5 million project for Shiner ISD. The new K-12 school was finished in the fall of 2007, and we started school in August. The project itself was completed flawlessly and under budget.

Mike and Jay did an outstanding job of meeting the needs of Shiner ISD, as well as negotiating with sub-contractors to keep the project within our financial limitations. In today’s market, I shudder to think how much over budget we could have been if we had chosen a different general contractor. If we were to consider another project in the future, I would definitely want to have Sterling Structures building it.”

Methodist Hospital

From Steve Connor, E.I.T. URS Engineering Services:

“I wanted to take this opportunity to commend you and your company for the work you have performed for URS Corporation at the Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Sterling Structures has consistently met and exceeded our construction safety expectations on multiple projects.

Your recent work required heavy construction activities within an active hospital zone during operational hours. Work such as concrete demolition and pouring was successfully performed in and around hospital employees and patients. Additionally, heavy equipment and deliveries were safely managed in and around some of the busiest streets in Houston.

I had the opportunity to meet with the Owner’s Project Manager to discuss the success of the project. He expressed to me his compliments regarding your company’s adherence to your safety policy, and he also complimented your site superintendent for his responsiveness and cooperation with the Owner’s safety policies.

It is comments like these that will maintain Sterling Structures as one of our preferred contractors. I personally look forward to working with you again in the near future.”

Alief I.S.D Mechanical Renovations

From: Mr. Jeff Delisle, Director of Maintenance and Operations

“Over the past two summers, Sterling Structures has completed two complex mechanical renovations at both Boone Elementary and Kennedy Elementary. Both projects were completed during the summer sessions with a combined contract value of $6.6 million.
Boone required replacing 12 roof top units with VRF systems, and the Kennedy contract replaced 20 air handlers and 2 chiller units, including all of the interior structural supports, ductwork, architectural finishes, and final clean.

As with any summer renovation project, there are always unforeseen issues. Both projects had numerous surprises and Sterling Structures tackled each problem with expediency and as a committed team member. Both projects were completed on time, under budget, and punched out in a timely manner for the new school year.

I have worked with Sterling Structures for almost 20 years, and they have provided excellent quality construction and superb value for the district. They have consistently excelled in all areas of their work. They start promptly, have always finished on time, and are always working to help control costs.

Working with Sterling is both a professional and personal pleasure. Their dedicated project managers and superintendents are always professional and easy to work with and their team-oriented approach is much appreciated when we have faced unforeseen complications and delays. Their attitude is simply to put our heads together to solve this problem and get it done.

Based on my experience with Sterling Structures, I would strongly recommend them, and I look forward to future collaborations with them.”

Canyon Pointe Elementary School

From Retired David Schuelke, Tomball ISD Assistant Superintendent for Ancillary Services.

“Canyon Pointe Elementary represents another successful project brought about through a dedicated team approach.  As with most projects, Canyon Pointe presented a unique set of problems and obstacles, but with the team you had on the project, the timeline was kept in focus and the project opened on time.

The school is an asset to the Northpointe community, and will support and enhance the learning opportunities of many kindergarten through fourth grade students for many years to come.

The Tomball Independent School District is the proud owner of an elementary facility that reflects the quality workmanship that Sterling Structures is known for.  We thank you for another project that opened on time and within budget.”

Lamar CISD Administration Building

From James Rice, President at Rice & Gardner Consultants.

“I am writing to commend you and Sterling Structures team for the work you provided in recladding the windows and metal panels at the Lamar CISD Administration Building.

This work included removal of the existing windows replacing them with new 1″, insulated , low-e glass windows and replacing the existing brick veneer with new insulation and new metal wall panels.

This was a sensitive project as most of the work was performed while the building was occupied.

The project was completed on time and within budget.  Both LCISD and Rice & Gardner are very pleased with the outcome.  We look forward to working with you and Sterling Structures again in the future”

Tomball Intermediate School

From Retired David Schuelke, Tomball ISD Assistant Superintendent for Ancillary Services.

“Upon reflecting on the Tomball Intermediate addition and renovation program, I wanted you to know how pleased the Tomball Independent School District and surrounding community is with the outcome.

When you contract with Sterling Structures, you definitely have a team that understands the “big picture.”  They understand that the structure they build will help educate the many students that cross its thresholds for years to come.

This project had many challenges, but we still opened on time and within budget. It seems that Sterling thrives on challenging timelines. No matter how tight or rushed the project is, the team gets it done with the same attention to detail and quality that we expect. This could not have happened without a strong client-oriented company pushing from behind.

The Tomball Independent School District does not just hand out projects, we award them to companies we feel are best.  On this project, Sterling Structures graded out A+.”
