Jay Carlton, Chief Executive Office

Jay Carlton has leadership for all of Sterling Structures activities and business opportunities. Jay is co¬≠-founder and shareholder of Sterling since 1997. Previously, Jay served as a managing partner with Harrop Construction Company. He held management positions at Trammel Crow, Pinkerton and Laws, and Stone Construction.   Carlton formally served for 13 years as a board member for the Houston Chapter of the Association of General Contractors, and remains active in the AGC/AlA. Jay is currently serving on the board of Rebuilding Together Houston, a national non-profit. Jay serves his community as City Councilman and as Fire Commissioner for the City of Hunter's Creek Village. Jay graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science.



Mike Gordy, President

Mike has oversight of all Sterling Structureps field operations and business development.  Mike's extensive experience in the construction industry has provided him with an in-depth understanding of successful field management. Mike is a co-founder and shareholder of Sterling since 1997. Prior to founding Sterling, Mike held construction positons with Katy Independent School district, Harrop Construction Company, Repcon Commercial Contracting, and Dyad Development Company. Mike currently serves as a City Councilman with the City of Hillshire Village.



Sandy Carlton, Chief Financial Officer

Sandy Carlton manages financial operations for the company including payroll, insurance reporting and preparation of financial statements.  Prior to joining Sterling, Sandy worked for BMC Software and Shell Oil Company. Sandy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a BBA in marketing, and received an MBA from the University of Houston





Prasad Nunna, Vice President

 Prasad directs the estimating, value engineering, and design of all potential projects. Clients appreciate Prasad's engineering experience and solution-oriented  approach to project development.  Prasad joined Sterling in 2002 as chief estimator.  He was promoted to shareholder and partner in 2017. Prior to joining Sterling, Prasad held positions at J.J. Contracting, Inc. and Harrop Construction Company. Prasad is a graduate of South Dakotas School of Mines & Technology with a master's degree in Civil Engineering.
