Jay Carlton, CEO

Thirty-Five years experience in commercial construction. Co-founder, CEO and shareholder of Sterling Structures, Inc. since 1997.  Held previous project manager positions with Harrop Construction (Houston) and Trammel Crow (Houston).  Formally served for 13 years as a board member for the Houston Chapter of Associated General Contractors.  Jay remains active in the AGC/AIA and City Council for Hunter's Creek, position #5.  Currently serving on the board of Rebuilding Together Houston (non-profit) and as a Fire Commissioner with the City of Hunter's Creek.  Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with degree in construction science.

 


Mike Gordy, President

Forty-five years experience in commercial construction. Co-founder, president and shareholder of Sterling Structures, Inc. since 1997.  Held construction coordinator position with Katy Independent School District, as well as superintendent positions with Harrop Construction (Houston), Repcon Commercial Contracting (Corpus Christi) and Dyad Development Company (Houston).  Mike currently services as a City Councilman with the City of Hillshire Village.  

 


Sandy Carlton, Chief Financial Officer

Sandy Carlton manages financial operations of the company including payroll, insurance reporting and preparation of financial statements.  Prior to joining Sterling, Sandy worked for BMC Software as a software sales person and Shell Oil Company as a systems analyst.  Sandy graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in marketing, and received an MBA from the University of Houston.

 


Prasad Nunna, Vice President

Twenty Three years experience in commercial construction. Part of Sterling Structures since 2002. Held project engineer position with Harrop Construction (Houston), project manager / estimator with J.J. Contracting, Inc (Houston).  Graduate of South Dakota School of Mines & Technology with master's degree in civil engineering.  Prasad is director over all estimating for the firm.
